NEW FROM PELT THIS SUMMER

We are excited to announce a couple of new releases out on pelt this summer

DREAM EAGLE HEAVY DREAMS "S/T" CASSETTE
Up first is the debut cassette from DREAM EAGLE HEAVY DREAMS which is a project made up of Jason Balla (ne-hi, earring) and Emily Kempf (lala lala, white gold). This hauntingly beautiful dream pop e.p. will leave you mesmerized and in a trance like state. With shimmery verbed out vocals and perfectly minimalist instrumentation, we recommend setting your cassette deck on repeat and finding the most comfortable couch you can.
OUT 5/26

MODERN CONVENIENCE "FUCK WITH FIRE" CASSETTE
Later on this summer, we are thrilled to be releasing the cassette version of "Fuck With Fire" from Tennessee's own MODERN CONVENIENCE. Mod Con is the long standing semi-solo project of Mike Bibbs. His blend of punk is gritty, loud, hot wired, dark and surfy. We caught them play at Foo Bar in Nashville recently and they may as well have burned the joint down. The performance ended with Mike writhing on his back, feedback screaming from his amplifier as his band carried on with the heaviest of jams. "Wait for the big finish!"
OUT LATE JULY/EARLY AUGUST

VAMOS "SPIDERBAIT" L.P. & CASSETTE
This summer will also see the debut full length release from VAMOS. Vamos have been tearing up Chicago and the rest of the states for years with their unique blend of bouncy garage & dark punk. With infectious riffs, catchy singalongs, bad hooks and tempo changing madness, it's no wonder Vamos pack the joint wherever they go. Last summer they got some major (and well deserved) attention tearing up Chicago's festival circuit which included a performance at Riot Fest. Their debut L.P. "Spiderbait" was produced by Daniel Rico of Ego and will be available on 12" vinyl as well as cassette.
OUT LATE JULY/EARLY AUGUST

EGO "ECONOMY" L.P. & CASSETTE
That's not all kids, look out for the sophomore full length effort of EGO! These dude have put out a wealth of material over the past 3 years for Maximum Pelt and show no sign of slowing down anytime soon. It's common knowledge now that they are releasing an album a month for the entire year, and this record believe it or not is unrelated! "Economy," was recorded last fall on the out skirts of St. Louis by Phillip Lesicko (the funs, manic static records). It breaks all sorts of new ground for Ego who in the past have been known for their high production studio efforts. Unlike their previous efforts, this album was recorded almost entirely live on a 4-track cassette recorder with no overdubs! What emerges from the production is Ego's tightest and most focused effort to date. "Economy" will be available on 12" L.P. and cassette.
OUT LATE JULY/EARLY AUGUST

THERE IS STILL MUCH MORE TO COME FROM PELT THIS SUMMER BUT WE'LL HAVE TO SAVE THOSE ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR ANOTHER TIME!
